Christmas is coming and learning to walk...

Who has time to blog during the holidays? Time seems to fly by...here's a quick run through of some happenings in the Evans' household.

We had the first big snow of the season a few weeks ago.

The girls enjoyed sledding!

Kassidy is on the go these days...

Kassidy is learning to walk...she can do it well as long as she is pushing something, but has no desire to try it on her own just yet! Mallory loves helping teach her.

Kassidy loving on her new babies from Mim.

The girls love their notebooks and fluffy pens!

Have a Very Merry Christmas!!!!

Thanksgiving and Disney on Ice!

As you can see Kassidy didn't quite make it to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the rest of us...she literally fell asleep while she was eating! I would put the spoon to her lips and she would take a bite, all while her eyes were closed! It was hilarious! It was a lot of excitement for a little one. We had a great Thanksgiving - we have a lot to be thankful for.

Grandma, Mallory, Kassidy and I went to see Disney on Ice yesterday - Saige didn't come with us as she is going today with a friend. It was a fabulous show - as always!

Kassidy was enthralled with watching everything...she took a short nap about halfway through and woke up happy as a clam and enjoyed the second half of the show.
Mallory had to get the cotton candy as it came with this nifty crown.

Here is a video of Kassidy watching the show - she was waving and she had to take breaks for some goldfish crackers as she h as a figure to maintain!

Kassidy loved Mickey and Minnie Mouse as she knew who they were since they are featured on her diapers!

Mallory liked all of the princesses and the characters from all of the shows.

Now Thanksgiving is over and it is time to think about getting out the Christmas tree...ugh, that will be a challenge this year with a little curious one! You tell Kassidy no and she will turn around and look at you, grin, and do it again! ACK! I think it is the red hair?

Trip to Nashville, TN

We had a wonderful trip to Nashville last week! The weather there was fabulous and we were able to do and see things that we hadn't before...the girls LOVED this park by Mimi's house.

We walked to the park since it was so nice outside...it was hilarious as the girls played so hard they whined that they wanted me to walk back and get the car and come get them! Cracked me up as when I said no they started jogging back to Mimi's house, so apparently they weren't TOO worn out!
We spent a couple hours at Opry Mills - which is my favoritest place in the whole wide world! Kassidy liked the car as she loves to sit and "drive" in grocery carts.

Saige liked the shark statue by the Aquarium Restaurant - we didn't eat there, though, as the girls ALWAYS want to eat at Rainforest Cafe.

On Saturday night Lee's brothers and their families came to Mimi's for Thanksgiving dinner - everyone hada a good visit...especially the little kids!

Mallory, cousin Ben, and Saige

The grandchildren: Laura, Mackenzie, Kathryn

Ben calls Kassidy his baby

Kassidy didn't take too long to figure out how to open presents...LOL

Cousin Mackenzie with Kassidy

I think she should be an advertisement for Steak and Shake!
We stopped at a rest area for a break. Everyone was glad for a chance to get OUT of the car.

One of the highlights of our trip was going to the Adventure Science Center - what an awesome place!

Lee got to try out the segway

They all tried out the wheelchairs - they had basketball to play in them and then the phones - so the kids could get a feel for what it is like to try and do things.

They really enjoyed the part where they got to don a doctor's lab coat and play doctor!

All in all it was a great trip...it is getting late and my eyes are bleary...more later!

Happy Girl

Not a lot of time to blog lately...we are getting ready for our holiday trip to Nashville this week to visit family...but here are some videos of the happy girl!

Kassidy's favorite thing to do lately is look at her own picture book. She has one with my mom's pictures from a sitting where she had some done for her book picture...she adores them! She goes page to page giving grandma "loves"...we finally got it on video tonight.

This girl sure does have a lot of character...she never ceases to entertain us with her antics. The girls love to play with here and of course they fight over her. LOL

This is her mad face LOL

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween 2009
Mallory (Angel), Kassidy (ladybug), and Saige (rock star)

Kassidy thought the whole thing was rather humerous

The big girls couldn't wait to get started trick or treating

Kassidy "drove" along them and watched...no need for her to trick or treat just yet, this was her trial run. Next year will be the real deal!

Daddy made Kassidy an Elmo pumpkin - he is too creative! She loves it.

Mallory got a cat pumpkin!

Saige chose a ghost!
Hope everyone had a safe, happy halloween! We visited friends and then hot some houses on grandma's block and ours. The girls got way too much candy and had a blast...so it was an all around great day.

Sesame Street Live

Miss Kassidy and I went to see Sesame Street Live today - the big girls were in school so it was a mommy and Kassidy trip. We got to sit in the front row as our friends won tickets AND backstage passes to meet and greet a character before the show. We had hoped it would be Elmo, but turned out to be Abby Kadabby (sp?) - so Kassidy wasn't as impressed with meeting her...but boy did she love the show!

Here is Kassidy with her pal Javion

So Kassidy is pretty sure that Elmo is the coolest thing ever...so it was the highlight of the show when she got to TOUCH him! She was giggling and kicking her feet like crazy.

Kassidy has a new friend, Natalie. We were excited to have an empty chair by us so Granny's daughter, Dee Dee, and Natalie could join us the second half of the show!

Spellbound

All in all it was a GREAT time. Kassidy got tired and konked out about 30 minutes before the show ended...tonight as I go through the pics on the computer she gets so excited and talks and laughs at the pics. She is pretty stinking smart for a lil' squirt!

Fun Times

Last Saturday the big girls and I went to the KSU/Colorado game with my mom. We had a wonderful time - the girls really liked the band, cheerleaders, and the "flag girls". Lee stayed home with Kassidy to watch the Alabama/Tenn. game and they had fun playing. I think the girls enjoyed having mom and I to themselves for a bit.

The weather was perfect for a ball game and we won --- what more can you ask for?

OK so this picture of Kassidy just totally makes me giggle! You can see her little personality perfectly - she's a hoot!
And here she is before church one Sunday...

Saige got her hair cut with daddy on sunday while Kassidy, Mallory and I went to a baby shower. I am finding it works better to split the big girls up when possible as they behave MUCH better apart...actually it is Mallory that behaves better away from Saige, not so much that Saige doesn't behave...she just reacts to Mallory's attitude too much. Whatever will we do when they are teenagers???? LOL
