First Day of School

Today was the girls first day of school -- Saige is a 2nd grader and Mallory is in kindergarten. They were so excited! Course Mallory's first outfit had a white tank top...which promptly ended up with chocolate milk on it, so this is her second outfit of the morning. She wreaks havoc on white! (hence why I rarely buy it for her!) Why is it that we had to have a torrential downpour today of all days????

Saige was excited as she has a locker in the hall this year -- gotta love her smile!

Mallory was so thrilled to have Mrs. Johnson as she already knows her from when Saige had her...as she was fortunate enough to get to go to all of the holiday parties that year.

I think that helped to make her transition into school much easier!

They look a bit apprehensive...?

Two Teeth already...

Well it is absolutely crazy that Kassidy already has two teeth! The girls both were almost one when theirs came in - so this is way early from what we are used to. Kassidy thinks she is a big girl and should be able to eat cheeseburgers now that she has teeth - we are easing her into big girl food with mashed potatoes and eggs (not together!) every once in awhile. She loves her baby food, though...so we aren't anxious to stop it altogether as it is handy.

I have been obsessed lately (I admit it) with couponing...it is SUCH a rush to go to the store and come out with a bagfull of groceries for next to nothing! Today we went to Walgreens and got a lawnchair, a tub of Huggies wipes, two toothbrushes, an activity book, 3 folders, two boxes of bandaids, and three boxes of Nutrigrain bars --- for $16...along with $9 walgreens bucks...so really only $7 spent in all. YIPEE!!!!!!!!!! I love coupons!!!!

Saige and Mallory start school on monday - they are very excited! Mallory got the same kindergarten teacher that Saige had, so that is a huge blessing as she is not nervous at all since she already knows Mrs. Johnson. Saige has some of her friends in her 2nd grade class so that will help her transition, too. I am sure this will be a big change for Kassidy as she will be home alone with Granny all day while the girls are both in school now!
