Time flies...

Wow, here we are a week later and I have yet to upload the pics from our trip to Salina! UGH! The girls had Vacation Bible School through our church every nite this week - so it was a busy one. They had a ball, as always. VBS is the highlight of their summer. We did manage to make it to get Kassidy's 6 Months pis done --- aren't my 4th of July girls cute?

Today Lee and Saige left for Nashville for his 25th HS Reunion. They left at 5am --- and are leaving to come home on sunday...so it will be a quick trip. We knew the baby wouldn't go for that as she hates to be in the car, so she, Mallory and I are having a girls weekend at home.

Kassidy can almost sit up on her own now - she giggles and laughs and the girls have taught her to wave bye-bye. She is such a sweetheart, we all adore her.

I get to enroll the girls in school next week - Saige in 2nd grade and Mallory in kindergarten! They are very excited and more than ready to go. We have the new school clothes in the drawers ready to go and it is killing them I won't let them wear them outside to play in. LOL

Coupon Queen

I apologize for not posting - life has been crazy busy lately! We spent the weekend in Salina visiting my sister and didn't get home until Sunday afternoon...then I was busy getting ready for another workweek! There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day...plus I am sick with allergies still...I swear this year is the WORST for them! UGH!
Anyhow - I had to post real quick and share my bestest shopping trip yet! I went to Dillons without children tonight and I had it all planned out - I had coupons loaded on my Dillons card from cellfire and proctor and gamble...I had a stack of coupons to go with it, I was set! I filled up the cart, all with things I normally buy, and headed to the checkout.
Now I have to say, the poor girl didn't know what hit her....she rang up all my stuff and then I handed her my Dillons card....ching ching ching - the computer started taking off all of the electronic coupons...then I handed her the stack. Her shoulders slumped and she sighed. LOL I couldn't help but feel sorry for her! She swiped them all and manually put in the prices of the BOGO items and then hit enter - YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to shout out loud! I had spent approx $125 and SAVED, for real SAVED, $94!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was estatic. She looked a little shell shocked. Maybe they aren't used to that? I am sure I am not! Wow - that made all of the planning and thinking ahead of time worth it ---- all of that in a 30 minute child-free (the key-no distractions) grocery trip!
Saving money is fun!!!!!! My favorite website is www.afullcup.com --- that is what got me started on this new adventure. I am forever indebted to the gals that post faithfully on there and teach us newbies the tricks!
